Aftercare Advice

Aftercare Sheet

To ensure quick healing and a beautiful tattoo, and to avoid any risk of reactions or infections, follow these hygiene rules and tips carefully. The beauty of your tattoo will depend on the care you give it during the first few days.

I recommend using CICAPLAST BAUME B5 SPF50® from La Roche-Posay (available in pharmacies) AND a neutral pH soap such as Intima or Mixa Bébé.

Kit available at the studio.

These instructions apply to artistic tattoos, permanent makeup, and dermal repair procedures.

Le premier jour

The First Day

At home, begin the initial care of your tattoo. Wash your hands thoroughly before removing your bandage, then clean your tattoo with lukewarm (not hot) water and the neutral soap mentioned above. Dry it gently with a tissue or paper towel by patting.

No towels for the first few days! Then apply a thin layer of cream until fully absorbed.

When removing the bandage, you may notice some excess ink mixed with lymph fluid — this is completely normal, don’t panic!

Cicatrisation

Healing

During the first two weeks, you should repeat the same care routine as on the first day, at least once a day. Make sure the tattooed area never becomes "dry," as this could cause dry scabs, affect the final appearance, and cause some discomfort (tightening sensation).

Do not let anyone touch your tattoo and do not share your aftercare products — they must remain personal. You may experience itching; this is normal, but you must resist the temptation to scratch! The tattoo may start to "peel" — this is also completely normal, no need to worry.

Avoid synthetic materials directly on the tattoo (be careful with tights, stockings, socks, and underwear); they may cause irritation — harmless, but unpleasant or even painful. Choose loose cotton clothing instead.

Do not shave or wax over your tattoo until the healing process is fully complete.

Attention particulière

Special Attention

Complete healing takes one to two months, depending on the size of the tattoo and the techniques used. During this period, it is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN to bathe (baths, pools, sea, lakes, hammam, sauna, etc.) as there is always a risk of infection.

Avoid applying products such as alcohol, Biseptine, Hexomedine, or hydrogen peroxide, as they can irritate your skin, cause reactions, and damage your tattoo.

Remember to protect your tattoo from the sun from the very beginning — and for the rest of your life. This helps extend the longevity of your tattoo. Once fully healed, keep it moisturized with a body lotion.

Your tattoo is now healed. Don’t forget to contact your tattoo artist within 3 weeks, sending a clear photo in case a touch-up is needed. If you do so within this timeframe, touch-ups are free; otherwise, your artist may charge for them.
